How to convert MBOX file to DOC online
- Add the mailbox. Drag the .mbox file onto the box at the top of this page, or click Choose MBOX File. Gmail Takeout and Thunderbird files without an extension are accepted too, up to 25 MB.
- Click Convert to Word. The page splits the mailbox into single emails on your computer and converts the first 25, one by one, with a progress bar. You can cancel at any time.
- Save the ZIP. A ZIP file with one Word document per email downloads automatically, named after the mailbox. Click Convert another file to repeat.
- One MBOX file per conversion, 25 MB maximum, first 25 emails converted.
- Output is .docx only; attachments are listed, not saved as files.
- Formatting, inline images and links are preserved; encrypted (S/MIME) messages cannot be converted online.
MBOX to DOCX Online converter is a small service we run. Your mailbox file never leaves your browser as a whole: the page splits it into single emails on your computer and sends each one over HTTPS, where it is converted in memory and the Word document is returned.
Nothing is stored after each conversion completes, nothing is read by anyone, and nothing is used for anything else.

How to Convert Large MBOX File into Word Document Offline?
Install and open the software
Download the 68 MB installer, run it and open Advik MBOX to DOC Converter.
Add MBOX files or a whole folder
Click Select Files for one or two mailboxes, or Select Folder to load every .mbox file inside a folder, including Gmail Takeout and Thunderbird exports.
Choose DOC as the saving option
Pick DOC from the saving options list and set how attachments should be handled.
Filter and name the output (Optional)
Use the date, sender and subject filters to pick the emails you need, and choose a file-naming pattern such as Date + Subject.
Convert and check the result
Click Convert. When it finishes, the output folder opens with the original folder tree preserved.
